Aspirinpod Pill Case to Defend Against Heart Attacks

The events leading up to creation of Aspirinpod® were full of medical struggles and adversity for inventor Patti Frenette. At Patti's 60th birthday, her mother passed away suddenly due to a serious medical condition. Exactly 30 days later, her seemingly healthy younger brother at age 54 suffered a heart attack. Fortunately, his wife gave him a 325 mg aspirin to chew, and then called 9-1-1. Her brother survived 

During this time, Patti learned how critical it was to chew an aspirin at the onset of a heart attack. She administered a survey that alerted people to a hypothetical heart attack, and asked if they had an aspirin. Out of the 450 people surveyed, only 5 people could say yes. Only 3 out of the 5 that answered yes could easily find their aspirin. Hence, she created Aspirinpod®, a convenient pill container to carry an aspirin.
